MANAGEMENT OF SEVERE BURNS WITH TOPICAL HEPARIN:AN EVIDENCE BASED STUDY
This represent exciting results that can be obtained from use of heparin in the management of severe burns. After reading the power point presentation, colleagues may be stimulated to try this relatively new way of managing burns
A 26 year-old galamsey miner involved in a blast at a mining site in the Central Region of Ghana and was referred to KATH•He sustained second to third degree extensive burns on the face, neck, anterior chest wall and forearm. Total BSA was 15% .
